Surf It!

ArtsWave buttonsToday marks the launch of ArtsWave, an organization dedicated to connecting people through the arts, advancing the vibrancy of our community with the arts, and supporting the arts and culture in greater Cincinnati.

 

Formerly known as the Fine Arts Fund, the board of trustees voted today to relaunch the organization with a new and more broadly defined mission, along with a new name.

It's A Half-Mile Long Painting!

We're having a busy week. Last Wednesday we launched ArtsWave - a new organization focused on creating community through the arts.

To celebrate this broader mission, we organized Paint the Street for last Sunday. People responded to our invitation to paint the pavement of 12th Street with more enthusiasm than we ever imagined. An incredible 1500 people of all ages and from all over (including some from out of town!) participated in this amazing and joyous event on a gorgeous afternoon.

Rocco Landesman Says....

This week, the chair of the National Endowment for the Arts, Rocco Landesman, visited ArtsWave. We'll have more to say about this, but here is one highlight. We took him on a walk through our neighborhood -- 12th, Vine, and Main Streets.
